Well, I'm anxiously awaiting a report and pictures of little Alexander. They said 2-4 weeks and it was two weeks last Saturday, so anytime...one of these days I'll check my e-mail and it will be there. My little son. The way he looks now, not last September. And more info, especially the medical stuff. Every night when I think about the fact that I can't go get him, I feel my heart twist a tiny bit more. I really do not worry about him too much, but there is this unique pain because it seems that he should be here with his family.
Zach seems to making a place in his heart for his little brother. We won't even be talking about him and out of the blue he'll say things like "I hold Alex's hand so he not be scared on the car ride." Recently when I came home from shopping he said "Next time you go out, don't forget to bring little brother." If only it were that easy :)
The yard sale was a big success. We raised $270. The weather was beautiful despite predictions of severe weather. Dora loved selling lemonade and goodies. I also have lots of stuff left over so I think I will have another sale in a few weeks. Thank you so much to everyone that donated items, baked or helped out. We so appreciate you.
I'm making progress in defining my goals and choosing materials for homeschooling. I'm really excited about the coming year. Since Dora will just be kindergarten age, I don't feel too much pressure and I've tried to be realistic about what I can do with also having two little boys, one who will be adjusting to a different life. Learning is so fun at that age, and I get to choose what things to present to them and follow their interests as well.
A Bible verse for today:
The Lord tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young.
